Excelsior Recordings

Excelsior Recordings was founded in 1995 when Roseboom and Hagenaars, who shared a predilection for vinyl singles, decided to release a few singles under the name Nothing sucks like Electrolux. When it turned out that Daryll-Ann, the band that Roseboom was manager of and for which Hagenaars produced the album Seabourne West, could not find a new record label after a failed adventure with the English Hut Records, the two also started releasing CDs. After a complaint from the Swedish Electrolux, the label name was changed to Excelsior Recordings. The lion's share of the publications were recorded in the Hagenaars studio.
