Met Path of Totality sloeg Korn een gedurfde en experimentele weg in. Voor hun tiende studioalbum zocht de band de samenwerking op met de voorhoede van de elektronische muziekscene. Het resultaat is een unieke samensmelting van de zware, herkenbare nu metal sound van Korn en de energie van dubstep en drum and bass. Producers als Skrillex, Noisia en Excision leverden een cruciale bijdrage aan de tracks. Het album verkent de grenzen van het metalgenre door de agressieve gitaarriffs en kenmerkende zang van Jonathan Davis te combineren met gelaagde synths en zware baslijnen.

Muzikale stijl: Nu Metal en Alternative Metal, gecombineerd met Dubstep, Drum and Bass en Electro House.
