Demilich is een van de meest unieke en enigmatische bands uit de Finse deathmetalscene van de vroege jaren negentig. De band verwierf een cultstatus met hun onconventionele benadering van het genre. Kenmerkend zijn de extreem lage, bijna onmenselijke gutturals van frontman Antti Boman en de technisch complexe, dissonante gitaarriffs die alle kanten op lijken te schieten. Hun muziek is een wervelwind van onvoorspelbare structuren en bizarre, lange songtitels. Deze verzameling bundelt het vroege en invloedrijke werk van een band die weigerde zich aan conventies te houden.

Dit is death metal die zich onderscheidt door een hoog technisch niveau en een avant-gardistische inslag. De sound wordt gekenmerkt door een constante stroom van verwrongen riffs en diepe, borrelende vocalen.
