• De rapstijl van Pusha T is zo beeldend dat hij slechts een aantal bars nodig heeft om luisteraars te laten teleporteren naar hun eigen gangsterwereld. Elke zin is raak, de beats zijn grimmig en er bestaat niemand met zoveel metaforen voor cocaïne als Push. Zijn volledige discografie voelt als een film. Daytona, de voorganger van It’s Almost Dry, is in filmperspectief volgens velen The Godfather onder de rapalbums. Het lijkt voor Pusha T een onmogelijke opgave om dit meesterwerk te overtreffen, maar net als bij The Godfather is het vervolg minstens zo goed als het origineel. (©Nieuwe Plaat) waardering: 8.5
