De Finse monsterrockers van Lordi, die in 2006 het Eurovisie Songfestival op zijn kop zetten, staan bekend om hun theatrale hardrock. Met de 'Lordiversity' boxset gaan ze echter een stap verder. Dit ambitieuze project is een fictieve compilatie van 'verloren' albums uit verschillende decennia en genres. De collectie bevat maar liefst zeven volledige platen, elk in een unieke stijl: van hardrock en disco tot progressieve rock en thrash metal. Het concept bouwt voort op het idee van hun vorige album 'Killection', waarmee ze een alternatieve muziekgeschiedenis creëerden. Lordiversity is een monumentale release die de veelzijdigheid en creativiteit van de band op een unieke manier tentoonstelt.

Deze boxset is een muzikale tijdreis door de rock- en metalgeschiedenis, waarbij elk van de zeven albums een ander genre vertegenwoordigt. De stijlen variëren van klassieke Hard Rock, AOR en Heavy Metal tot aanstekelijke Disco, complexe Progressive Rock, snelle Thrash/Speed Metal en kille Industrial Metal.
